PROJECT: Raising Awareness of Media on Social Issues (RAMSI)

Lamiya Rzayeva has obtained her bachelor degree in Social work and masters in Social Research Methods at Baku State University and has more than 5 years’ experience in child protection, youth participation and empowerment and civil society development. She has worked with several local and international organizations such as Oxfam GB, Chemonics, and International Organization for Migration, Hilfswerk Austria and ARGO Kazakhstan and AWO in Germany.

She participated at tens of international training courses and conferences on Social work and Social Services and conducted trainings for more than 500 NGO reps, students and civil servants in different countries. She is licensed international trainer for Project Development and Management. Lamiya is a member of Youth Advisory Council of United Nations in Azerbaijan. She is Executive Director of Azerbaijan Social Work Public Union since 2014.

Raising Awareness of Media on Social Issues (RAMSI)

The project will increase capacity of media representatives on social issues, ethics of broadcasting about social problems, trauma news, interviewing vulnerable people. Additionally, the project will contribute to establishment of dialogue between civil society and media and strengthen the cooperation.

The project activities will include:

  • ToT training for journalists and journalism educators;
  • Round table discussions on cooperation between media and civil society organizations.
