Rimma holds a BA degree in English Literature from the Vinnytsia Mykhailo Kotsiubynskyi State Pedagogical University and an MA degree in English from the University of Stuttgart.

Rimma acquired her communication experience while working as a correspondent at the Khmilnyk Regional Radio Station. Her role was investigating and covering the life of the Khmilnyk Community and this provided Rimma with a perspective on the community, and its strengths and weaknesses. In 2015 Rimma became a member of the CSO “PRAVO” and is now a senior manager at the organization.

With the invasion of Ukraine Rimma and her colleagues at PRAVO re-purposed the organization to help address issues of IDPs and the trauma felt in the community.

‘The Eastern Partnership Civil Society Fellowship Programme provided me with an opportunity to apply my skills and knowledge, take action and gather a team of motivated specialists to support IDPs living in the Khmilnyk City Territorial Community with legal and psychological aid. In the framework of the project, my team developed a functional mechanism to quickly identify the IDPs’ most pressing needs. This mechanism can be effectively used henceforth. Moreover, this project is my great chance to gain a new standpoint and develop valuable professional skills’. – Rimma KOVAL
