PROJECT: Open Data on Waste in Ukraine

Andrii is a young professional from Ukraine, skilled in data analysis, project planning and management. He holds a Master’s degree in Business Economics from the Khmelnitskiy National University, has additional certificates in Data Science and the Circular Economy, and has completed the HarvardX Data Science programme, and participated in the Kyiv Smart City School.

Since 2018 he has conducted dozens of trainings, lectures and workshops on the topic of open data in public administration and smart solutions for cities, benefitting representatives of local authorities and civic activists.

Andriy has been a driving force in the development of Waste Ukraine Analytics (WUA), based in Khmelnytsky City/Kyiv.  WUA is a platform to accelerate the transition to a circular economy. It hosts a B2B marketplace for companies with an interest in the field of waste management, using an aggregator of historical data on waste and a tool for creating mandatory data sets for local communities.

One of Andriy’s latest project undertakings has been as a Smart City / Digital Infrastructure Expert in Khmelnytsky City Green City Action Plan by EBRD.  He is also an active member of such professional bodies as the ISWA Young Professionals Group, the Association of Sustainable Development Experts, the initiative ‘OpenUp Ukraine’, and is Chairman of the Sustainable Industry committee at the Association of Industrial Automation Enterprises of Ukraine.
