Grigor AVETISYAN, Armenia
PROJECT: Empowering Deaf Youth through STEM Education

Grigor Avetisyan is a civic leader and advocate for accessible education in Armenia, working at the intersection of technology, education, and inclusion. With over 20 years of experience in marketing and community engagement, Greg is developing the first fully accessible STEM video education platform in Armenian Sign Language. Through this initiative, he provides high-quality digital resources to deaf and hard-of-hearing youth, strengthens the capacities of local NGOs, and promotes dialogue on inclusive public service delivery and employment. His project connects creative industries with the disability community, laying the groundwork for sustainable inclusion.

“This project is my small attempt to bring modern inclusive education to the lives of Armenian deaf children and students. It is giving deaf and hard-of-hearing youth in Armenia a unique opportunity to receive equal access to high-quality education, gain a basic understanding of subjects, and deepen their knowledge in ways that might lead to future employment opportunities. We need major education reform for DHH people in Armenia – reform that will not ignore their voices but will include them in every aspect of education, open up opportunities for social and civic engagement, and empower their participation in society. Thank you for trusting me to lead this change.” – Grigor AVETISYAN
