Khatuna Kvintskhadze is a human rights lawyer and researcher with two years of experience in working on strategic litigation cases before international human rights mechanisms and the Constitutional Court of Georgia to tackle systemic deep-rooted problems in Georgia. She has also worked for civil service as a researcher on the rights of personal data protection and prohibition of ill-treatment. Khatuna draws inspiration from impactful stories where human rights law, supported by committed defenders, brings relief and positive transformation to individuals.

Khatuna holds master’s degree in Public Law and Policy from Ilia State University and bachelor’s degree from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. She is an alumna of Swedish Institute Academy of Young Professionals (SAYP). Her professional interests include exploring possibilities of social rights to transform the lives of socially deprived people and working on conflict resolution through dialogue.

My individual research project will study the social conditions of IDP families, identify eligible families, explore obstacles in this process, propose solutions, and raise IDP families’ awareness.
