Live Radio Program “Gia Studia” on Radio Pirveli with Lika Merabishvili
On November 9, Lika Merabishvili, a 2017 Eastern Partnership Civil Society Fellow from Georgia, visited the live program “Gia Studia” on Radio Pirveli. The main topic of the program was road safety, where Mrs. Merabishvili introduced the Fellowship program and her project on cycling development as a transport in Tbilisi, Georgia.
During the program, Mrs. Merabishvili talked about the inception meeting, which was held in Kiev, Ukraine, and her future activities that are planned within the project. As she mentioned two cycling marches will be organized, where decision makers and public figures will participate. In order to increase the road safety awareness and cycling knowledge, the special flyers will be distributed among the citizens.
Mrs. Merabishvili said: “Last week I was in Kiev with the young representatives of other Eastern Partnership countries, where I presented my project for the cycling development in Tbilisi”. She also added that “The only solution of street decongestion and decrease of air pollution in Tbilisi is eco transport and cycling development. That is why we need to promote safe cycling”. Lika Merabishvili also talked about the cycling infrastructure improvement perspectives in Tbilisi and cycling development as a transport.
